8/17/09 - Paula's Exercise/Eating Journal: Monday

by Paula (Clean Eating Expert) 18. August 2009 08:00

The restaurant world is agreeing with our philosophy of clean eating according to the National Restaurant Association 09' survey of 1233 chefs and restaurateurs.  They were asked what the hottest trends in restaurants were for 09'.  The data proved that restaurateurs want to strengthen their market share by creating healthier options and "greener restaurants".  Yaahhhh!  I have noticed some positive changes in marketing, as of late, to children and adults.  Changes that emphasize more appropriate portions and more fruit in fast food meals!

The association research also tracked the hottest trend of 09' to be healthy kid's meals, and that nutrition/healthy foods on menu's in restaurants as the #11 trend.  This proves that foods such as fruits, vegetables, fish and lean protein, and gluten-free products will be seen more and more frequently when we are all dining out.
